IS THIS THE GOSPEL CHRIST DIED FOR?

I know a lot of people will be wondering what is Bukola having in mind that brought about this topic. Just follow me a little bit and you will get to understand what I have in mind. Today the 20th day of December, I change the channel of my TV set to a particular station on the MYTV cable. Lo and behold, it was Pastor Abel Davina of Kingdom life Ministry preaching and I was wondering most of the thing the pastor was saying in the name of Christ and I was ashamed for myself and the entire Christian fold.

I have to ask myself and the people around whether they have written another bible. Could it be the same bible that we are all reading? Let me share with you some of the things my dear pastor shared with over a million people on television with you. I am not trying to criticize anybody, but I don’t know how you feel when heresy were being preached and people are taking it in hook line and sinker. For a moment it was like the spirit of Christ came on me, like when He said “the zeal of the house of God has consumed me”. Please follow me in the journey.

Let us take them one by one, and I will try to give my opinion about them and let us reason together, because am not claiming full and total accuracy of the scriptures.

MONEY: I have seen pastors going on the screen to source for fund and the people should sow into the ministry. As much as there is nothing bad in that but the process was wrong. How can a ministry spend poor church members tithe and offering to pay for a TV slot and what will be discussed is all about what “God” told the pastor that if people sow into the ministry they should watch what will happen in their life and almost 1hr was dedicated for that. Is a shame on the Christian fold for an unbeliever that is fed up of life to tune in and all that was being said was the Lord says you should give and watch what will happen in your life. The most annoying part was the account number that was boldly displayed (Intercontinental Bank 0157001000127265). The whole emphasis was purely on money.

We pastors have been demanding money from the followers to fund the ministry programmes without teaching the people how to make the money. The only mean we have been emphasizing is “give and it shall be giving to you”. I was in one ministry sometimes ago for a convention and one of the renown Bishop from Edo state was ministering and after the message he said he want us  to give a covenant offering and that God said we should empty our pockets and come straight to the alter and drop the money. Hmm we did! However the most annoying part was that when we are going home your see mothers and old men trekking miles home because they have “empty their pockets” and the man of God passed by without lending a helping hand with his car!

IS THERE AN ANOINTING THAT BRING ABOUT WEALTH? Like I said earlier I am not having the total accurate knowledge of the scriptures but the little I have read shows me that anybody can be rich! Whether you are born again or not, you can be rich in this world. The bible did not say that you will not be rich if you are not born again but what the scriptures says is that “it is only the blessing of the Lord that make rich without adding sorrow to it” which means that the blessing that comes from other sources make rich also but the difference is that sorrow is part of the privileged pack. Jesus himself said “the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light” so sir where do we get all these anointing for wealth transfer from? The transfer of wealth the bible talks about in the book of Isaiah will be executed  by God Himself and not man orchestrated. There is a church around my area of residence, everyday i used to see them gathering and praying for God’s blessing this happen everyday and I use to see them on my way to work as early as 8:30am one day I have to ask myself that all this while they have been gathering to pray for prosperity should have been use to work and see if God will not prosper the work of their hands. I think, we pastor should come to a position that we need to be preaching the real gospel and not to bring attention to ourselves. Many at time we turn ourselves to tin god for the members and we cannot be challenged for our actions.

I hope to bring you the determining part of this thought soonest but before that time let us all pray “ teach me your laws for your ways are not hard….”
